Nel quadro del Programma di Accelerazione della Crescita, è prevista la realizzazione di investimenti nel settore delle energie alternative, per un importo complessivo pari a 36,2 miliardi di dollari.
In particolare, è stata pianificata la costruzione di: 54 impianti idroelettrici per una total capacity of 47,000 MW of 71 wind turbines with a power of over 1.8 GW and three biomass power plants of 224 MW. But not all.
